Dr Koponen is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Kuopio Research Centre of Geriatric Care, School of Pharmacy, UEF and she is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Centre of Medicine Use and Safety, Monash University. Her main research focus is on investigating the real-world effectiveness of medicines using nationwide register-based healthcare data. Dr. Koponen’s current research interests include improving the treatment of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
